The group travel sector is the next great untapped market in online travel. It’s an opportunity to work in a greenfield domain that’s ripe for technology disruption, with so many opportunities that it’s tough to choose what to work on first.

That’s where you come in. You’ll help define what our product at Flash Pack becomes, and how we’ll get there. You’ll do this alongside a Head of Engineering as the leaders of the team we are building.

Because we’re at the start of our product journey, we don’t have a predefined product culture, or ways of working to talk about here! You will help us define all of that.

Requirements

This role will build our product strategy, translating how we’ll win into key long-term investments and short-term wins via a product roadmap. We want you to do customer research, build a product focused culture in our tech team and help design our product features to do everything we’ve ever imagined.

We are looking for someone who can wear many hats, as our first product hire you’ll have a really varied set of challenges.

We’re after the right person, not a particular background or experience level. As such you don’t have to tick all these boxes, but we’re looking for someone to:

• Set direction for our tech team, not only in what we will do but what we explicitly won’t do
• Be empathetic in their leadership style
• Hire great product talent, then grow and retain them
• Work closely with the Head of Engineering to make sure we’re balancing the need to deliver the highest impact work with the more strategic items like investing in our technology estate.
