Your Impact at Starface  

The Creative Director will be responsible for developing and articulating the creative vision and visual identity for the brand across all channels and platforms. They will provide leadership to ensure the brand stays true to its core values while still generating excitement and relevance across multiple marketing touch points. 

 

We will count on you to:

  • Ensure all Starface content reflects our brand identity and creative vision 
  • Develop and expand current brand guidelines
  • Oversee the creative development process for all consumer-facing communication (website, social, email, photo/video, advertising, packaging, etc.) including managing internal feedback processes 
  • Develop a creative strategy for all product launches and campaigns
  • Provide leadership, vision, and guidance to the creative team (4+ direct reports), encouraging creativity and new ideas while establishing clear priorities and ensuring timelines are met
  • Push the brand forward by presenting new ideas for how Starface can show up creatively 
  • Develop and manage relationships with outside creative collaborators
  • Manage budget for all creative projects from concept through completion
  • Supervise negotiation of talent agreements 
  • Stay up to date on beauty and DTC industry trends that may inspire new ideas

 

Who we are looking for 

Required experience and competencies  

  • 10+ years of creative experience
  • Natural storyteller and creative visionary 
      • Strong cross-functional leader and collaborator 
      • Track record of managing creative teams 
      • Ability to drive forward multiple projects communicating with multiple internal and external stakeholders 
  • Network of talented, intentional creatives (freelancers, contractors, agencies etc) that you can leverage to produce world class content.
      • Solutions orientation 
      • Intimate understanding of design and typography best practices/guidelines. 
  • Understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts. 
  • Passion for brand innovation

 

Additional ideal competencies

  •  Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts or related field.
